World Club Champion Football brings football management and collecting together. SEGA launched the original Serie A edition in June 2002, with real player cards at the centre of the experience.
Your cards are your team.
In the original arcade game you place player cards on the cabinet's pitch, and their positions shape your formation. Move a card, change the shape; switch a card, change the player. The match comes to life on the screen above.
Think like a manager.
Training, team selection and the decisions you make during a match all matter. You guide the team with tactical, shooting and goalkeeper controls. In the 2010-2011 edition a squad has eleven starters and five substitutes.
The match ends. The collection grows.
The original arcade dispensed a player card after a game. That mix of football and the next unexpected card is part of what this community remembers.

Quote:Playing with the kit? These are the original arcade basics. In the kit, the cabinet's pitch is a formation board on screen: drag a card to move it, drop it on another to swap. You play with the keyboard or a game controller, and the kit's page covers the rest.
